15. Zemana Anti Malware
Website:https://www.zemana.com/antimalware
Zemana develops a number of computer security solutions. Its Anti-Malware is just something focused primarily on Malware. Let’s start with the fact that it not only detects Malware, but also is capable of removing them.
My personal favorite aspect of the tool? Its speed. Zemana is comparatively faster than some other options I’ve been with. And when I did my research, a number of other users too seem to agree.
Note that Zemana isn’t just an Anti-Malware software. It also can detect Adware, and even annoying/potentially harmful toolbars. It offers a Quarantine mode, detailed reports as well as a “Whitelisting” option. The best part is, it’s compatible with other Antiviruses. So you do not need to uninstall your current Antivirus in order to run or use Zemana.
It also claims “zero false positives“, which is a common problem with most Anti Malware solutions out there. Also because it uses cloud-based scans its ability to detect new threats is increased. There does exist a free version. However the premium version has three plans.
For usage on 1 PC, it costs USD $50.00, USD $25.00 and USD $38.00 for 3 Years, 1 Year and 2 Years respectively. For 3 PCs, it’s USD $75.00, USD $59.00 and USD $65.00/year for the 1-3 and 2 year plans respectively. You can also purchase it for 5PCs, they’ll set you back anywhere between USD $71.00 to USD $117.00 depending on the protection period.

Protection from other threats such as a Phishing and fake websites too is offered. It also enables us to remotely control our device firewalls. Although one of its highlights is its “Optimization” abilities. It claims being able to “speed up” a computer by speeding up the boot-time and reducing lag. Generally, these types of software are known to slow a computer down.
It even has a junk-remover and duplicate file detection abilities. Background processes too are clipped and then finally there’s a browser-cleanup feature.
Some paid add-ons include a Password vault for keeping passwords safe, a VPN, and an ad-blocker. It’s completely free to use with an optional paid upgrade. Offers three plans, each priced at EUR 29.00 / EUR 39.00 and EUR 59.00. The pricing difference is primarily based on the number of devices and the paid add-ons.

17. Emsisoft Anti-Malware
Website:https://www.emsisoft.com/en/home/antimalware/
One of Emsisoft’s products is its anti-Malware solution. Their tagline reads- “Like Antivirus, but much better” which does hold true in most cases. It protects users from Ransomware, backdoors, Trojans, Phishing attempts and PUPs.
PUPs are naughty little distractions which other similar programs miss. For e.g. the toolbars, unwanted software or basically anything else which get installed without you wanting them to.
Unlike the conventional anti-malware tools, Emisosft makes use of not just one but two scanners. Engine 1 focuses on more common and everyday threats, Engine 2 focuses on the other half of threat-detection. All in all, this unison results in a lesser CPU-consumption and hence a lag-free scanning experience.
Mac Usage Monitor
There also is a real-time file-guard which scans all downloaded files for malware. It’s also capable of monitoring app-behavior, if a change is detected the user is automatically notified. It also offers browser-extensions for Chrome, Firefox and Safari which keep web-browsing safe.
Users can also create a portable “emergency kit”. In other words, a portable version of the scanner for using on third-party systems. They do offer a free 30-day trial as well as 30-day moneyback guarantee.

18. Malware Fox
Website:https://www.malwarefox.com/
Malware Fox as the name suggests prides itself on its malware removal capabilities. It markets itself as an all-in-one malware removal application. Let’s start with its anti-adware capabilities. Malware Fox has an in-built module which detects and removes unwanted popups, redirects and all other kinds of ads.
Spyware is one of the most dangerous malware in existence. Malware Fox makes sure none of your data, actions, habits are being spied upon via spyware. Trojan horses are often hidden inside other applications (hence the name). Malware Fox is capable of detecting most if not all types of Trojan Horses as well.
Browsers are one of the easiest and most commonly used entry-points for malware. Malware Fox ensures no toolbars, ads or other malware-injecting program enters or stays on your systems through browsers. Also features an anti-Ransomware module which prevents your system from being hijacked.
There also is an additional Rootkit remover, zero-day attack protection and a couple additional features. It has two plan-types, there’s a free plan in addition to a premium package. The free plan doesn’t have all the modules and features, those are included in the premium package which start at around USD $5.41. and increase depending on number of devices as well as OS. 19. Eset
Website: https://www.eset.com/in/home/smart-security-premium/
Eset is a proven and established security tool which offers all-round security and isn’t just anti-malware. One of my personal favorite features with Eset is its “Silent mode“. When you’re gaming, watching a movie, or doing anything in the full-screen mode, it’ll prevent any popups from interrupting whatever you’re doing.
It offers protection against viruses, spyware, rootkits, ransomware and even phishing websites. What makes it special is its “Exploit blocker”. In simpler words, it can circumvent around malware trying to avoid/block the program.
The user-interface and user-experience is almost unprecedented. It generates reports each month which contain in-depth data of the number of detections, removals and everything else.
Also is capable of detecting unauthorized processes trying to snoop around, e.g. turning on your webcam. Also has a firewall which protects against unprotected WiFi networks. Its most expensive package even includes a feature which lets us encrypt data on USB sticks and removable media.
Doesn’t consume ridiculous amounts of CPU resources, resulting in a lag-free experience. Has a total of 3 plans, the Nord32 Antivirus, Internet security and Security Premium. All with varying prices and features.

Difference Between Anti-Malware and Antivirus Software
This piece on the best malware removal software just can’t be complete without discussing the dire need of one to begin with, can it?
Despite the fact that Antiviruses are what gained more popularity, they’re actually a sub-set of malware. Virus is one specific type of Malware while Malware is the larger set of any kind of malicious code.
In other words, most Anti-malware software should protect you from viruses, while that may not be case vice-versa. Viruses are primarily programmed to “replicate” themselves. They copy their own code, mess with the OS, drives etc.
Check Network Usage Mac
Malware on the other hand has more diverse “duties”. It can be used to spy (Spyware) on your activities or capture your keyboard (Keyloggers). They also are used to steal crucial financial (Credit Card/ Bank login) as well as Personal data stored on a computer.
More advanced Malware is capable of using your computer to attack others, use it as a Mining hub, or just gain remote access. Adware is used to make money by displaying unwanted ads, and Ransomware to freeze the system and demand a ransom to let go of it!
Bottomline, Malware and Viruses aren’t the same and that is why you need more than just an Antivirus software.
Conclusion
Gladly, some of these best malware removal software comes with free plans too so you would not have to shell out much to keep your system clean. Make sure to go through their complete features and the stuffs offered along with them to ensure you are getting what you wanted to have.
Anti-virus and other relevant programs are a part of anti-malware programs only so choose wisely before investing that what you need the most. Although I could not mention but there are some equally popular programs too like Avast, Avira, Quick Heal etc. which can also be preferred for the same purpose.
